Traditionally used in the kitchen, a Pestle & Mortar made in wood is a pleasure to use; being warm to touch and without the harsh noises you seem to get from stone and granite.
I make these in three different sizes, available in Oak or as a combination of Oak and Brown Oak. The pestle is a slightly different shape at each end for the choice of grinding use. There is a scoop in the rim of the Mortar to rest the Pestle when not in use.
Timber – Oak throughout. Pestle, much denser, made from reclaimed oak – over 100 years old or Oak Mortar with Brown Oak Pestle (contrasting combination)
