I have attended a one day course on wood turning with Colin Norgate. His expert one-to-one instruction, his patience and attention to detail can be second to none. The student is helped to aim at turning out a simple product to perfection standard, as a trophy whose quality can be aspired to afterwards.
I found the whole friendly experience an inspiration towards a re-discovered urge to return to the lathe. Colin will tailor the instruction to any level of existing, dormant or non-existant experience, setting the level accordingly. Follow-up courses are suggested to further the art and to check for creeping bad practice.
I would highly recommend these courses, with this skilled and experienced teacher, as being excellent value for money.
